Tecfidera Medication
Labels
TECFIDERA® (dimethyl fumarate) is a prescription medicine used to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). In this project, I recreated the bottle's label so it reflects the necessary information in a modernized way.
Design Ideation
My goal was to redesign two variations of Tecfidera's medication bottle label: one modern and one traditional. Both were inspired by the brand as well as the recognizable teal color of the pill
Modern Label
For the modern label, I made the medication name and a pill icon the focal points. Using the Tecfidera teal, I added color to spark interest and complement the ocean blues in "TECFIDERA." There's also an image to break up the large blocks of text and draw attention to the dosage information.
Traditional Label
For the traditional label, I relied upon Tecfidera's brand presence to create consistent representation. I used the original logo, colors, and fonts to make a recognizable design. To make it unique and engaging, I used organic shapes which move around the bottle.
