Teaching Music Magazine
National Association for Music Education publishes a "Teaching Music" magazine four times per year, each one more unique than the last. For this project I redesigned the cover and two pages of this magazine.

Design Ideation
Initially, I was inspired by the beautiful Teaching Music magazine covers. These are each filled by meaningful and aesthetically pleasing graphic art. My goal was to create a unique, eye-catching cover design similar to these.

Magazine Cover
Musical instruments were the main idea. The acoustic guitar is my favorite, so I wanted it to be front and center along with the "Teaching Music" logo and the title. Since the magazine's target audience is children and parents, I decided to implement exciting shapes as well as a retro color scheme with dull yellows, oranges, teals, and pinks.

Page Content
Throughout the magazine, I wanted to keep a consistent theme. Both pages utilize lively colors, bold headers, and fun instrument graphics or images. There is also a topic teaser and relevant advertisement on the last page to encourage readers to keep reading.
