Sojourners Senior Ministry
The "Sojourners" is a senior ministry group at Valley Bible Church which is located in Lancaster, CA. For this project, I volunteered to create a logo as well as a flyer design and template for the Sojourners Senior Ministry.
Logo Ideation
The term Sojourner means "traveler" or a person who is just passing through. According to this organization's religious beliefs, Heaven is the eternal home, while time on earth is temporary. My goal in designing the Sojourner logo was to visually capture this theological concept. The path traveled represents life, while the destination, symbolized by a cross, is Heaven.
event Flyer
Alongside the logo, I created a "Sojourners Senior Ministry" flyer to advertise upcoming events. I aimed for brand consistency through the use of familiar fonts and colors. The flyer features a horizontal variation of the logo to optimize the header space.
Print Production
The best part was seeing this project come to fruition. After designing the flyer, I prepared the file for print by creating a 11" x 8.5" template. Throughout the printing process, I was able to work with the lead graphic designer at Valley Bible Church. I am very happy with how the prints turned out!
