Monterey Zoo is home to over 100 exotic animals ranging from spiders to African elephants. In this project, I reimagined a logo, business card,  and marketing flyer that represents the Zoo in a contemporary and aesthetically pleasing style.

Monterey Zoo

Logo Ideation

For this logo, I wanted to capture the location, Monterey, and one of the zoo's main attractions, lions. I experimented with different ways of combining these concepts using a crashing wave and a lion's face from the side profile. While designing, I tried clean bold shapes for the wave and more organic, fluid waves. I wanted the waves to flow together and combine with the lion's face.

Business Cards

Using the final logo iteration, I designed a few business card variotions. Each showcase Monterey Zoo's logo and contact information using a simplistic layout and bold fonts, which improves legibiliy. The final business card design also features the slogan "Embrace your wild side" to entice potential visitors.

Flyer Design

Through the flyers, I used consistent branding and bright, lively colors to grab the public eye. The tiger eyes immediately draw the viewer in and the shapes point toward the informative text.
